Blessing Bags

Sorry it's blurry, but we only managed to get two pics while the kids were putting together the blessing bags. They were so excited to get to help put bags together to give out to people in need!

Each bag got a pair of socks, a comb, an antiperspirant, a razor, crackers, a slim jim/cheese pack, a little pouch with a toothbrush, toothbrush cover and toothpaste, and a card with our info on it. So far we made 5 women's bags and 10 men's bags - the variation being the razor and socks given.

Unfortunately we didn't yet have Bibles to include, but I just ordered pocket New Testaments from www.dollartree.com! They will ship to the store so there was no shipping fee, I was super excited about that!

Mike has been able to hand a few bags out already and we got some fruit cups and applesauce cups to include some variations.

Here is the other picture we got while the kids were helping ---
Nate was checking the quality of the antiperspirant --- totally smelling it! Silly child! Don't worry it had that little plastic sanitary cover over it!!

We are really excited about what God is doing in Wilmington, NC and that He is using our family to spread the gospel! Please pray for us anytime you think of us and if you feel led of the Lord to support us in a financial way, please give cheerfully in whatever manner God directs you!!! All for Jesus, may He be glorified through every bag handed out, every conversation we are able to have, every meal that eases hunger pains, every Bible given, every shower and clothing allowed to freshen someone!

Thank you for checking this out, God bless you!

Seek Ye First

Our family is stepping out in faith right now. What does the Lord want us to do? He wants us to make disciples. He wants us to trust Him. He wants us to seek Him first.

From Matthew 6:
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?  28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

So, we are seeking the Lord as He directs our paths. The things of this world distract so easily; entice so easily; consume so easily.

From Proverbs 3:

1My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, 2for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. 3Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. 5Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.[a]

All for His glory and honor, because without Him we are nothing.

From John 3:

22After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. 23Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized. 24(This was before John was put in prison.) 25An argument developed between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the matter of ceremonial washing. 26They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan—the one you testified about—look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.” 27To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven. 28You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ 29The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30He must become greater; I must become less.”[h]31The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. 32He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. 33Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. 34For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God[i] gives the Spirit without limit. 35The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
